Arbors are recommended for slitting saws and milling cutters up to 1/2in. thick. They are made of up to 4 pieces consisting of the arbor, key, arbor holder, and coupling nut. It works on a pull through principle. The cutter slips onto the arbor, the threaded end is then pushed through the arbor holder and is held in by a coupling nut at the opposite en of the cutter.
Straight shank arbors are to be held by a 1in. end mill holder for use with machining centers or turning centers with milling capacity.
Arbor holder is of alloy steel, hardened and ground to eliminate cutter runout.
Concentricity within 0.0002in.
Steel keys assure positive drive of both clamping faces as well as the cutter.
Wide cutters can be recessed to accommodate the .160in. arbor shoulder to provide full flush capacity.
