Sebring Pottery Ivory Porcelain Embossed Flower 22k Gold Band Cup Saucer
We are pleased to offer this lovely cup and saucer in THE ETCHED DESIGN pattern manufactured by the Sebring Pottery Company in Ohio on the Ivory Porcelain blank circa 1927. This scalloped pattern features an embossed floral design on the rim with a 22k gold band inside the embossing. It has a row of beads just inside the gilt trimmed rim.
The footed tea or coffee cup stands 2-3/8" tall. The saucer is marked: "The Etched Design -  patent no. 1,641,820 - S. P. & Co. U.S.A. Warranted 22k. Gold".  William N Lewis applied for this patent as he had discovered a new and easier method of applying an etched design to gilded bands on china. The S.P. in the mark refers to Semi Porcelain.
The set is in very good condition for its age - no nicks, chips or cracks. Just hard-to-find pieces of Sebring china that you are sure to want to add to your dinnerware collection.
